Best Bridesmaid

Our Best Bridesmaids embroidered t shirt was inspired by the 2011 movie, Bridesmaids.  Bridesmaids is a comedy about the competition between the maid of honor and a bridesmaid over who is the bride's best friend.  In my experience, the competition occurs in almost every wedding party. It is unfortunate; but, it does happen.

Love is in the air

When I was searching for an item to feature on this week's scavenger hunt love theme, the song Cupid by Sam Cooke kept replaying in my mind. Cupid is one of the most famous symbols for Valentine's Day and love. The magical arrows that he would shoot at a human would cause them to fall in love. You don't want to shoot your secret love with an arrow.  I can understand that.
How about this idea?  I remember an old wife's tale that said the way to a man's heart is through his stomach. So why not bake your special person a cupid valentine's day cake. It's easy to make with the Wilton Cake cupid delight Valentine pan from Eccentric Thrifter.

I Wish I Were A Cowgirl

You all know by now I am a city girl.  The only time I rode a horse was way back in the day during my senior high school trip.  Horses are beautiful animals to look at; but, for me up front and personal just didn't cut it.  I have taken a lot of teasing over the years from my country dance friends because a lot of them have horses and ride every chance they can.  A few years ago, when I was recovering from surgery, one of my  friends came to visit decked out in his cowboy hat. I still remember the look on my nurse's face when she said you have company and he's wearing a cowboy hat. lol  Cowboy hats are kind of unusual attire  for my neck of the woods.  I adore anything country from home decor, to clothing, to dancing, to rodeos. Yes, I have been to the rodeo more than once.  As a child, my favorite cowgirl was Annie Oakley, not Dale Evans. And one of my  favorite country songs is I should have been a cowboy by Toby Keith.
Embroidery Fashions Boutique doesn't have any horse lover's t shirt listed yet (we are working on it) ; but we have some cowgirl and cowboy themed shirts. It should come as no surprise that the I Wish I Were A Cowgirl t shirt was my idea!

Diaper Bags - the Practical Baby Gift

I'm a little late finishing up this week's baby theme for the ESN scavenger hunt blog.
Babies need many things.  Onesies, diapers, hoodies, toys to name a few.  So, I though ok - if I was purchasing a baby gift, what would I choose?  Since I am a practical person, I would choose a practical  baby gift - a diaper bag.
Eccentric Thrifter has diaper bags listed.  Great! Not just one, but two from which I could choose.

A Graco navy blue with yellow plaid diaper bag,  It measures approximately 16.5 wide X 12 high X 6.5 across.

She also has a Disney Winnie the Pooh blue diaper bag listed. This bag is approximately 9 X 9 1/2 X 4.

Since both bags are pre owned and in excellent condition, they are an exceptional value.
