I Can Sing A Rainbow - Pink and Green

This week's ESN scavenger' hunt blog is pink and green.  I couldn't get the words red and yellow, pink and green out of my head.  I kept humming a tune.red, and yellow, pink and green.  Then, it hit me. It is a song ( I Can Sing a Rainbow) which my preschool class liked to sing.
I can certainly sing a rainbow about the many items available on  ESN.  However, since the theme is pink and green I'll stay on topic.

. One of my favorites is the wall quote Girl (n) a princess dressed in pink from Walls That Talk.  Wouldn't it look adorable on a baby girl's  nursery wall?

It was interesting to notice that many of the dress pattern envelopes depict the patterns sewn in pink.  Check Bargain Express for the Lizzie McGuire simplicity sewing patten.

I know I got a little carried away with my pink selections.  Time to move on to the green.  The Jad-ite fire king chili bowl  is from Hazel's Hodgepodge.

Eye Candy - In the Eye of the Beholder

This week's theme at the eCrater Stores Network scavenger hunt blog is Candy.  I couldn't help it!  The first thing to come to my mind was Eye candy. Eye candy conjures up a number of different images; however in a marketing sense,  Eye Candy usually means the visual appeal or attractiveness of a product to the consumer.  Since all  ESN scavenger hunt blog member stores are eye candy, it was hard to choose.

 Check out the Hawaiian  shirts available at Eccentric Thrifter.  She has many colors and sizes  and patterns from which to choose.  The Hawaiian Blues Tropical shirt has my vote.

State of the Art at Ecrater Stores Network

The scavenger hunt's blog theme this week at Ecrater Store Network is State of the Art.  I interpret anything described as state of the art to mean the the newest, coolest technique or machine available in any time period.

Do you remember when VHS camcorders replaced the 8mm movie camera?  They were defiantly state of the art in their day.  Visit Bargain Express to see the camcorder she has listed.  It is great for parts and repairs.

Firefighter Gift Ideas

This  ESN scavenger hunt blog theme for this week is fire.  Since my son in law is a firefighter, I thought I would look for items that would cute gift ideas for him.

     I didn't have to hunt to long for find this Dog Fire Hydrant Salt Pepper Shaker Set from Bargain Express I know his firefighter buddies would get a kick out of it.

Next I visited Comycgyrl's store and found a vintage replica horse drawn fire truck.  It is a 1914 Horse Drawn Pumper Fire Truck Red scale model and would be nice addition to his fire truck collection. 

In my opinion, books are always a great gift.  The illustrated history of fire engines book from Eccentric Thrifter would also be a fantastic gift idea for a firefighter.

Paper Hunt

The theme for this week's Ecrater Scavenger Hunt blog is paper.

The first store I visited was Comcygryl.  She has some neat items listed.  I settled on the Lord of the Rings Two Towers Photo Print Journey Continues.

This is a print of a promotional piece for the Two Towers in the Lord of the Rings Series.

Next I found a James Bond picture at  Your Whatnot Shop.  Since my hubby is a huge fan of the James Bond movies, I couldn't resist choosing the From Russia with Love photo. 

Next, I visited Bargain Express and found a Superbowl football trivia paperback book. Trivia games always add fun to any gathering.

Music! Music! Music!

This week's ESN scavenger hunt blog theme is music.  Even though I cannot play an instrument or carry a tune, music is a big part of my life.  I almost always have one of my favorite Cd's playing while listing on our ecrater store, cooking or driving in the car.  I love to teach my grandkids all the cute preschool songs I have learned over the years.  I have to admit though, one grand-kid is famous for saying No sing Nonna. 
Music to me means dancing.  And dance we do from country to oldies to ballroom.
So with music in my ears, I visited the ESN bloggers ecrater stores to see what music goodies I would find.

I headed straight to Barb's Bargains and found this awesome Xact Sirius satellite radio boombox system.  It is an excellent value with the boombox and receiver included.

Next I found a music box at Hazelshodgepodge.  This sweet Precious Moments music box would be a delightful gift. 

I just knew Walls That Talk would have one or more cool music quotes in her store.  I couldn't help smiling when I discovered the Life is a Song vinyl letter wall quote. 

Since I have a turntable, I wanted to see if any of the bloggers have any vinyl albums.  Sure enough Bargain Express has some.  If you like old time country music as I do, check out the Meryl Haggard album. It is one of my favorites.

The Sky

Sky is the theme for this week's Ecrater Stores Network scavenger hunt blog.  My first stop was Eccentric Thrifter.  I found this adorable Winnie the Pooh diaper bag.  Perfect match - sky blue background with white fluffy clouds.

When I visited  Bargain Express, I choose the girl's light blue t shirt. The glittery butterflies  remind me of twinkling stars in the night sky.

This morning I was checking out some of my friends' news feed on  facebook.  There were tons of posts, videos, and pictures of their kids and grand kids playing little league.  I am definitely a baseball junkie and will read or watch anything  baseball related.  And when it comes to kids playing the sport, the games are priceless.  In one video, the batter hit a double, the camera panned to his little sister who was jumping up and down and cheering her big brother. 
Bingo!  New t shirt idea for our store.  Big brother, little sister and baseball rolled into one.

Since Memorial day is considered the unofficial start of the wedding season, Embroidery Fashions Boutique is busy adding new wedding party t shirts to our eCrater store.  One of our best sellers is our custom embroidered camouflage Official Ring Guard ring bearer t shirt.  We've expanded the camo line and

I love Pasta

I love Pasta.  I love cooking it; making it and eating it of course.  I love pasta plain, with red sauce, with white sauce,with white creme sauce, in salad, in soup and in desserts. 
By the way, when I say making pasta I mean from scratch.  I get out one of my pasta makers.  I still have my mom's  special spaghetti  rolling pin. We would cut the dough by hand or use what our family called the macaroni guitar.  lol  I don't make pasta that way very often.  I also have a hand crank machine and an electric pasta maker.  Actually, I  have two electric pasta machines and three hand crank machines.

 Since I love pasta so much,  we decided to embroider pasta themed items. The Little ole Pasta Maker shirt and the Pasta princess apron are two of my personal choices.

Monday Again

It"s Monday morning again.   I am feeling overwhelmed and overworked.
The correct tactic is to make a list; and prioritize the list.  Sounds good; but it doesn't always work for me.
Let's see what comes first?  Family, our embroidery Fashions Boutique ecrater store, our brick and mortar store?  We haven't even reopened the Mike's Sporting Goods ecrater store yet.

Renovations in our brick and mortar store are complete.  However, there is still tons of clean up to do in the basement.  Inventory, which is arriving on a daily basis needs to be priced, sorted, and displayed. 

Between us we have 6 adult kids and 8 grandchildren. There is always something going on. The Easter holidays are fast approaching. Holidays translate into family dinners and celebrations.
No wonder I am overwhelmed.

It's Spring

Ecrater Stores Network  scavenger's hunt theme for this week is Bring out the Spring Things. 

The first thing that came to my mind was a famous quote. "In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love."
However, according to my college age nephews the quote should read love, baseball and clothes. 
At  ESN you'll find a multitude of spring things.  Below are a few of my favorites

The smurf key chain baseball player from comycgyrl for the baseball fan.  Incidentally, baseball is my favorite spring sport.

Spring  brings thoughts of  new clothes.  There are so many clothes choices at ESN.

Eccentricthrifter's  Hawaiian men's shirts are fabulous.  This Caribbean Joe shirt is a good choice for a spring break vacation.

Of course a new t shirt is a welcomed addition to a spring wardrobe.  Check out the Captain Morgan t shirt from Bargain Express.  It's cool.

ESN theme Transportation

The theme for this week's ESN scavenger's hunt blog is Transportation.  Since I was unable to find a time machine for sale in any ESN store (so far that it is), I thought how can I transport my self to another time or place? Easy - read a book.

eCrater sellers have books galore from which to choose.  I traveled to Barb's Bargains and found an array of Nora Roberts books. If I choose  Heaven and Earth I can visit tiny Three Sisters Island.. 

Next stop is Comycgyrl Collectibles.  Nothing beats a  historical romance book.  In Apollo's Fault Miriam Raftery Adventure Historical Romance, I am transported to San Franciso. 

Next, I decided to take a detour and check out Eccentricthrifter.  Found the coolest book called Egyptology. How else could I go up the Nile river and search for a tomb of an Egyptian god?  

With books I can transport myself back in time, across the ocean, and into the future.
